While still friends, Emily and Kevin enjoyed a classic Seattle day. Kevin framed this photo and wrote on the back of the frame to ask Emily to be his girlfriend on January 4, 2020.

Three days after starting dating, Emily and Kevin took a trip with their friends (Zoe, James, Ryan, Omar) to Whistler and had dinner at the Fairmont's Grill Room. This trip kicked off the inspiration for this wedding venue!

About a month before this photo was taken, Emily entered a raffle for a bar in San Francisco to throw her a party for 60 people. After winning, she decided that this would be an incredible way to anchor a trip to show Kevin around the bay area and introduce him to her friends and brother, Kyle!

When COVID hit in March 2020, Emily and Kevin visited Saratoga for a weekend. That weekend turned into eight months of bonding with the entire family! Emily's brother, Kyle, knows the coolest secret hike to a water reservoir, which we would go to a few times over the summer.

Emily introduced Kevin to her themed birthday parties! This year's theme was Britney Spears and her maid of honor, Lauren, hosted the party!

Emily and Kevin moved to Miami with two carry-on suitcases and stayed for over a year! This chapter was incredible, and they left with beautiful new friends (Angela, Zosia, Renzo)!

This trip to Punta Cana was hilarious. Emily and Kevin drank rum like water, got braids and beads, and even missed their flight back home. They were on island time!

When Emily and Kevin visit Emily's family in California, they try to dedicate an evening to drive to Half Moon Bay. The evening begins with having Emily's favorite Fettuccine Alfredo and ends with drinks while watching golfers finish their day on the 18th hole of this beautiful course.

Emily and Kevin's trip to Paris was a fun way for each of them to visit a place they had both been before, so they could see all new attractions together. On this trip, Emily's Aunt Aileen sent champagne to celebrate what she thought would be their engagement. Sorry for the wait, Aunt Aileen!

Emily and Kevin moved from Miami back to Washington. The second time around has been filled with many more positives, including an incredible group of friends (James, Jack, Ryan, Omar, Julia, Bri, Brock, Brooke, David, and Paola!)

After exploring the outdoors by going on hikes to beautiful lakes and viewpoints, Emily and Kevin unlocked a new kind of outdoor venue, the Gorge Amphitheatre. They took an impromptu weekend trip to see Fred Again and Rufus du Sol!

To pregame Superbowl Sunday, Emily, Kevin, and their lyrical crew (Ryan, Jack, and James) rented a music studio in Pioneer Square where local artists like Macklemore and Vance Joy have recorded their work. After three hours, the crew came out with their first song, "Don't Rewind", and visited the studio again in 2024 to record the second song of their EP, "mid-twenties". Weekend trips to the surrounding islands are one of Emily and Kevin's favorite ways to explore the area. Most recently, they had a reunion with some of Emily's closest friends from high school (Brandon, Yayla, Harsha), and celebrated their friend Jack's birthday with other friends (Talia, James, Ryan, Omar, Julia).

Emily and Kevin visited Ecuador last summer to celebrate Kevin's mom getting married to Hugo. Kevin's best man, Marc, joined the festivities and they got to spend quality time with family and friends.

Mykonos holds a special place in Emily and Kevin's hearts! This trip was one to remember forever and they are excited to go back. Watch for a potential node to this particular beach club during the wedding weekend!

During their most recent spring break trip, Emily and Kevin stayed at the Fairmont in Mayakoba. They fell in love with the sliver of paradise, delicious breakfasts, and scuba diving! This could be a recurring spring break trip.

A week into their summer trip in Bali, Emily and Kevin spent the day exploring Dreamland beach and riding their scooter in the sun. In the evening, they went to the bar for drinks before dinner, which is when Kevin asked Emily if he could show her something really cool that he just saw. They walked down the steps, turned the corner, the violinist was playing John Legend, and Kevin knelt and said, “I want to treat your heart like a diamond forever. Emily Nicole Penuen, will you marry me?” After endless giggles, they had a photoshoot, the table was decorated perfectly with red roses, and midway through the private dinner, they said “may you please stand up? We have a surprise for you?” And it was fireworks!

Emily and Kevin began their new chapter as an engaged couple by visiting Tirta Empul and partaking in a holy water ceremony. They also completed a traditional Melukat Blessing Ceremony, setting intentions and asking for blessings for their chapters to come together.
